Vet Cares Mobile Vet was founded by Dr Valerie, a passionate veterinarian dedicated to providing personalised, compassionate care for pets in the comfort of their own home.
Dr Valerie knew from a young age that she wanted to become a veterinarian. After initially studying business administration in Singapore, she followed her passion for animals and made the move to Australia as a mature-aged student to pursue her veterinary studies at the University of Sydney.
With over 17 years of experience as a veterinarian, Dr Valerie has worked in a variety of busy small animal hospitals across Sydney, caring for dogs, cats, rabbits, and guinea pigs. Her extensive clinical experience has allowed her to develop a broad understanding of the unique needs of pets throughout every stage of life.
Dr Valerie is passionate about creating calm, positive veterinary experiences for pets and believes visits should be as stress-free as possible. She takes a gentle, patient approach to consultations and procedures, helping pets feel comfortable and building trust with them over time. Many pets become excited to see Dr Valerie at each visit, even when examinations, injections, or treatments are required.
She believes in taking an individualised approach to veterinary care, considering each pet’s lifestyle, nutrition, preventative care, and overall wellbeing. Where appropriate, she incorporates supportive options such as dietary changes and supplements alongside conventional veterinary treatments, while ensuring medications and other therapies are used when they are needed to achieve the best outcomes for each pet.
Dr Valerie also loves helping owners strengthen the bond they share with their pets by providing guidance, education, and support throughout their pet’s health journey. She believes that informed owners and personalised care are key to helping pets live healthier, happier lives.
Outside of veterinary life, Dr Valerie enjoys spending time with her own animal family, including two dogs, one cat, sheep, and chickens.
