What if I need to cancel or reschedule my appointment?
We understand that plans can change. If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, we kindly ask that you provide at least 24 hours’ notice. This allows us to offer the appointment time to another client.
Cancellations or changes made with less than 24 hours’ notice may incur a cancellation fee.
What are the benefits of a mobile vet?
A home visit can be a less stressful experience for both pets and their owners. Many pets feel more relaxed in familiar surroundings, making examinations and treatments easier. Mobile veterinary care is also convenient for busy families, elderly owners, and households with multiple pets.
Can you perform vaccinations at home?
Yes. We offer routine vaccinations for dogs and cats in the comfort of your home, along with a full health examination before vaccination.
Can my pet be microchipped during the same visit?
Absolutely. Microchipping can often be performed during the same appointment as a health check or vaccination.
Do you treat sick pets?
Yes. We can assess many common medical conditions during a home visit. If your pet requires advanced diagnostics, surgery, hospitalisation, or intensive care, we will discuss the most appropriate referral options.
How long does an appointment take?
Most appointments last between 30 and 60 minutes, depending on the reason for the visit and the number of pets being seen.
Can you see more than one pet during the same visit?
Yes. Many families choose to have multiple pets examined during a single appointment. Please let us know when booking so we can allow enough time.
How do I know if my pet needs palliative care?
If your pet has been diagnosed with a life-limiting illness, is experiencing chronic pain, or is slowing down due to age, a palliative care consultation can help assess their quality of life and discuss options for ongoing comfort and support.
How do I know when it’s time to consider euthanasia?
This is one of the most difficult decisions a pet owner can make. We can help assess your pet’s quality of life, discuss your concerns, and provide honest, compassionate guidance without pressure or judgement.
Can my family be present during in-home euthanasia?
Yes. Family members are welcome to be present if they wish, and there is plenty of time to say goodbye in the privacy and comfort of your home.
How do I prepare for my appointment?
To help your appointment run smoothly, please ensure your pet is safely contained and easy to access before our arrival.
For dogs, this usually means having them on a lead or in a secure area of the yard. For cats, we recommend keeping them indoors and, where possible, placing them in a smaller room such as a laundry or bathroom before the appointment. This helps prevent them from hiding in hard-to-reach places and allows us to complete a thorough examination with minimal stress.
If available, please have any previous medical records, medication details, or relevant health information ready for review. Alternatively, you can arrange for your pet’s previous veterinary history to be emailed to us before your home visit.

What if my dog or cat has had a bad experience at the vet in the past?
Many pets feel more comfortable being examined in their own home environment, where they are familiar with the surroundings and often less stressed. However, some pets with previous negative experiences may still feel anxious, fearful, or overwhelmed during their visit.
If your pet is too stressed to safely examine, our experienced veterinary team will prioritise their wellbeing and may recommend calming medication to help them feel more relaxed. We can then reschedule the appointment for another time, usually within a few days, to allow us to provide the best possible care in a calmer environment.
Please note that if the consultation needs to be rescheduled due to your pet’s stress levels, the initial consultation fee will still apply.
Do you offer diagnostic tests?
Yes. As part of our comprehensive health checks, we offer a range of diagnostic testing where required, including ear cytology, skin and lump sampling, blood tests, and urine testing. These tests help us investigate health concerns and provide a more accurate diagnosis and tailored treatment plan for your pet.
Do you prescribe medication?
Yes. We carry a wide range of commonly prescribed medications in our fully equipped mobile veterinary vehicle, allowing many treatments to begin during your home visit. For pets requiring ongoing medication, we can arrange repeat prescriptions, medication reminders, and convenient delivery of repeat medications to help make managing your pet’s care easier.
